But it\u2019s a start. And right now, it\u2019s one of the best tools we have to slow the scammers down.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

So let\u2019s walk through it. Slowly, clearly, and without jargon.
Here\u2019s what you need to know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. What is Two-Factor Authentication?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a second step that keeps your account safer. Even if someone steals your password, they can\u2019t log in without a code from your phone or app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Think of it as a second lock on your front door. The password gets you through the gate \u2014 2FA makes sure it\u2019s actually you trying to get in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ll usually get the code through:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        2. Click your profile picture (top right) \u2192 Settings & Privacy \u2192 Settings<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        3. Find Meta Account Centre<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        4. Otev\u0159ete Password and Security<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        5. Klikn\u011bte Two-Factor Authentication<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        6. Choose your Facebook account<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        7. Follow the setup (you can use SMS or an app)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          Once it\u2019s on, Facebook will only ask you for a code when logging in from a new device. Your current phone and browser won\u2019t keep bothering you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          We also recommend writing down the recovery codes and keeping them somewhere safe \u2014 just in case you ever lose your phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          5. A Small Habit That Makes a Big Difference<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

          Paranoia has nothing to do with it. This is just common sense for anyone managing a business online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          You don\u2019t need to become a cybersecurity expert \u2014 you just need to close the obvious door scammers use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
